We have partnered with Studentcare to provide you with an extended health and dental coverage plan. The plan was designed to fill gaps in existing gaps in provincial health care plans or other basic health-care programs.

As of Sept. 1, 2023, the your Health & Dental Plan insurer is changing from Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada to Securian Canada.

Important information about changes to your Health & Dental Plan 🎉

What's Changing?

If you have any remaining eligible claims for the 2022-2023 policy year (Sept. 1, 2022 to Aug. 31, 2023), please submit them to Sun Life ASAP as the Plan insurer is changing Sept. 1, 2023.

Starting Sept. 1, 2023:

  • New Insurer: Securian Canada
  • New Group Number/Prefix for health & dental claims: MHK
  • New Member ID: MHK + Your Student ID (9 digits)
  • New Pay-Direct student format: MHK + Your Student ID + 00
  • Pay-direct system provider: GreenShield system
    • Make sure to update this information at your pharmacy and/or eligible provider clinics for Sept. 1, 2023.

If You Used Your Plan on or after Sept. 1, 2023:

Submit claims to the new Plan insurer, Securian Canada, through their web/mobile platform or Pay-Direct services. Visit www.studentcare.ca for detailed information.
